Greetings Good Folks,
This blog is a letter of my excursion from 4 July – 4 August 2014. Girls & Boys…WHAT an ADVENTURE! Over the past couple of months, the clear idea has come that I will be writing a memoir. It just occurred to me on how “unique” this life experience has been. Based on past life readings/opening the Akashic records of self, I have always lived a very interesting and action-packed life. Now…on to ‘The Excursion, The ‘Reset’ Button and All In-Between’.
The reset button has been set
The Ancestors and I were engaging in a few consultations over the past couple of weeks, in regards to future moves/assignment. The main agenda item was the course of actions for the next phase of life. It was time to increase and ascend. The confirmation came through a few credible sources, including a reading by Uversa Oumbujuah (based in Union Square Park, NYC). At that point, I knew it was time for another trek. According to 13 Moon Astronomical Sciences, I am a ‘Red Rhythmic Skywalker’. In simplest terms, I explore the world to bring back answers for myself and others. Travel is a MUST for my well-being! On 4 July, the trek began. This meant another temporary “hasta luego” to Brooklyn, NYC. E departed with $28 and the faith that all needs would be met.

A friend and I loaded onto the NYC<–>Philly Bus to begin this trek. We proceeded to travel to location of a friend’s place to crash. Here comes the Philly-style hospitality. There is a history of Philadelphia showing me love and respect. I like Philly folks because they possess a soulfulness that lacks in New York City. During the seven (7) days I stayed, the hospitality to the vegan restaurants to reuniting with long time friends/family to meeting supporters of my artistic/creative works made me feel like a resident of the Heavens! Then, I had to leave on 11 July. I received provisions to trek to Richmond, VA for the second leg of the trek.

From Interstate 676 to 95 South, I wallowed in the joy received. On Megabus, I traveled. The bus arrived in Washington, DC. Unfortunately, there were a few riders who attempted to ride without buying tickets. This caused an hour long delay. Regardless, I remained patient and joyful. I reached Richmond, VA on the evening of 11 July. A good friend picked me up and had a few glasses of wine and caught up on life events. I shared my plans to launch a holistic health business and continuation of developing/finishing literary arts projects. Much encouragement and support was given. On the morning of 12 July, I went to see family and the new additions. It was very refreshing, simple, positive and uplifting. For some reasons, I had this major craving to make veggie rolls with plum sauce. They were GOOOOD! On early morning of 13 July, I departed for Atlanta. And….HERE COMES THE TROUBLE!

I boarded Greyhound Bus Lines. While traveling through North Carolina, I experienced delay after delay after being placed on the WRONG bus! Who does that?!?! GREYHOUND does. I ended up in Fayetteville, NC when I received the news. Immediately, I explained the issue to the Customer Service Agent. She was very quick in resolving the issue to go above and beyond the call of duty. The agent arranged to have van service transport me to Raleigh, NC to connect to Express Bus service. The layover went from 25 mins to 4 1/2 hours. Surprisingly, I was calm (even within self). A formal complaint was filed with Station and District Managers for Greyhound. A few days later, a response was received. A letter of apology and travel voucher were issued. But, the delays messed up lodging and travel arrangements.

Eventually, I reached Atlanta safely and sound on the morning of 14 July. Communications were faulty and it caused me to reevaluate certain friendships/relationships moving forward. Fortunately, a friend had come through for a place to crash for a couple of days. That wasn’t the best experience, but it was what it was. Adventures were underway with a fellow artiste/jewelrymaker around city of Atlanta. That was fun. Then, I connected with a soul brudder and his empress. They were most cool and hospitable! There were even music/art collaborations and exploration. So, much bliss and prosperity will flow upon them. Next, I connected with my uncle and his family from 18-25 July. It was SOOO peaceful out in Stone Mountain, GA. At points in time, I was thinking it was a little too quiet. I had a chance to explore the area a bit on foot (as always). Additionally, I had the opportunity of meeting an Elder Brother who has been vegetarian for 35 years. That was inspiring to hear part of the story. The weekend of 26-28 July, I relinked with a good friend from Brooklyn. So, it was nice to exchange BK vibes in ATL. I don’t quite care for the social vibes/setup in Atlanta. Another day, another time. But, Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL was calling loudly.

Down Interstate 85 to Interstate 95, I went. This trek wasn’t too bad. But, I kept forgetting where I was. When I was in Florida, I was thinking I was Georgia or North Carolina or Ohio. I think it’s called ‘sleep deprivation’. I digress. So, my body was under the ‘Sunshine State’ version of sunshine…..very direct and humid!

I reached on the morning of 29 July. Florida proved to be very chill. The original plan was a trek to South Florida (Fort Lauderdale and Miami). But, those plans were not solidified. I continue with what I had planned originally. Then, I crashed at an old friend’s place. We picked up immediately where we left off 10 years ago. That is a true friendship/connection! We trekked around St. Pete, went to the beach, had an impromptu photo shoot, went dumpster diving and built upon ideas. There is a thing in the works…but, I am not at liberty to divulge any more details.

The trip ended on a very high note! So much clarity and plans of actions came forth. Through all of this, it was revealed that Philadelphia, PA would be my new home base. It makes so much sense. My travels from Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL to Philadelphia, PA were pretty smooth. I left Florida on 2 August. A few minors snafus. The best part of the travels were in Charlotte, NC, where I befriended a legally blind older gentleman. We had the opportunity to exchange life stories. It almost became an instant father-son bond. We definitely plan to stay in touch. Also, I overheard a situation where a young lady needed to travel to Dallas, TX. She just left the hospital, in which her newborn baby died. The young lady pleaded with the child’s father for assist in travel, to no avail. Fortunately, some people in the world have hearts and she was able to raise the funds/support to travel.
I was unable to make any stops to visit anyone on the return trip. Give thanks that I reached Philadelphia, PA safely! Now, a new phase of life is underway. Of course, this trek has/will inspire several writings. Until then….
