Drowning in the Sea of Opinions

The media has bombarded us with images of racially-driven crimes and discrimination.  For some reason, people are shocked and appalled that these offenses are happening in USA.  Very quick history lesson…it has happened since the inception of United States of America (as the ’13 Colonies’).  It is the core foundation of the nation.  Its Constitution and all of its ambiguity states that persons of direct African descent are 3/5 of a human.  In essence, it is lawful to mistreat Black/African people in USA.  Surely, this law has played out miserably.  In fact, it has been overplayed in society on all fronts.

Etaniel Ben Yehuda, aka ‘E as Poetlove Water’, who is a poet/writer/artist/human rights activist, asks the readers (and your colleagues, friends, neighbors, co-workers, family, etc.) “Why does ANY offense against Black people in this country surprise you?”  Yes, the heinous acts of injustice and hatred against African descendants are deplorable and sinister.  Naturally, the persons with soft hearts and living souls will feel the pain of the victims.  But, I believe it becomes a theatrical performance when you gasp and emote heavily. That is the CORE of USA…the country was built and establish on blood, sweat and tears of persons of ethnicity.

In the early to mid 1900’s, lynching was the premier activity to follow Sunday morning “worship” in Christian churches.

In the advent of social media in 2000’s, the highly-opinionated American had a springboard to divulge every thought and feeling around the cyberglobe.  It seemed revolutionary and progressive.  Then, it became convoluted, annoying and provided the excuse for adults to revel in child-like behaviors (bickering, name-calling, ridiculing people, being clique-ish, etc.).  As we return to 2015, it seems to have gotten worse.  Now, we are in the age of Internet Revolutionaries and Internet Crybabies!

As my writings in the far and recent past have stated, the generations were not listening to the wise Elders. Although their voices were almost muted, the soundwaves still went out in the atmosphere and some of us caught it.  Another unfortunate thing about life in USA is that it is socially constructed on the youth element. That is very dangerous!  The Elders sit with an insight and wisdom that have been earned.  You can’t pay for it.  Much of the general public chose to follow frivolous distractions of celebrities like “who’s dating who?”, “what dress did she wear?” and “he dumped her for another woman”.  The majority of the people don’t even know these people on a remotely personal basis.  Yet, you allow the fantasy of your lives to dictate your reality.  Again, that shows the power of media.

Several years ago, progressive thinkers of various circles forewarned the American public of certain events to come.  One warning pertained to the ideal that conservatives were interested in a “race war” with the support of the National Rifle Association (NRA).  During this time, there were campaigns running in predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods to “buy back guns from the streets”.  Some exchanged handguns for a nominal amount of cash.  Covert disenfranchisement is what that operation can be called. The act ensured that a limited amount of Black/Latino men and women would be unable to protect themselves, families and communities.  Now, each day offers a barrage of videos containing graphic images of police brutality.  Do you believe that is happenstance?  Let me answer……NOPE, NOPE and NOPE!  It is clearly by design.  If the “suspect” does not get killed, then ways will be sought to imprison the citizen of USA.  Please check out the chart below.

Incarceration rates, October 2014

According to American Psychological Association (APA), these are the incarceration rates in various nations of the world. The rates are based on figures compiled in October 2014

Respect as the Disguise

One of the biggest media reports this week was the visit of President and First Lady Obama to Saudi Arabia. The controversy is that First Lady Michelle Obama did not cover her hair, in compliance with cultural tradition.  Although her garments fully covered all areas of skin (except the neck), this was considered disrespectful.  It is very interesting that an Arab-run, Islamic country would deem something/someone culturally disrespectful.  Let us assess the Sudanese invasion by Islam/Arabs.

First, the name is Sudan is Arabic.  The original name of the nation was Khush (Kush).  Both names mean “land of the Blacks”.  Khush (Kush) is culturally correct.  ‘Sudan’ is the result of colonialism.  There are countless examples of how Arabs have exercised cultural imperialism, in name of religion.  How about the entire North African region (to include Eritrea)?  If you look at the average Eritrean, you can clearly see strong Arabian connection (genetically).  Why was it necessary for Eritrea to break away from Ethiopia? Why was it necessary for South Sudan to break away from the remainder of the nation?  Why was Darfur such a long-running, “successful” war?  The answer is within the common denominator…Arab presence! Respect is cyclical.

You can proclaim peace until you turn blue, green and orange, simultaneously.   The fact of the matter is peace is a state of being/existence.  It does not turn off because one decides not to follow traditions that apply to a respective ethnic group.  Although I am well aware of President Obama’s Islamic upbringing, I am glad that First Lady Michelle Obama did what she did.  I am certain that the intention was without disrespect.

Note:  I used an article posted by Washington Post for the sake of credibility to some of Easpoet’s blog followers.  The views in the article do not necessarily reflect those of E as Poetlove Water.

The purpose of the blog is to examine the nuances within current society (which usually has a historical stem).  I like to provide enough rhetoric and information that serves as a catalyst for one to further examine the subject-matter.  I do not claim to be an expert.  I do claim to be an imaginative realist.  One of the personal focuses I have had on life is to get to the core of any/every issue that directly and indirectly affects me and my people.  I would urge you to explore the dynamics of living for indigenous peoples in Arab/Islamic-colonized communities.  The torturous aspects of the religion are not only played out through terroristic-suicidal missions, but disparities in education, lack of food and enslavement.

Let’s not allow the corporate-controlled media outlets (Fox, CNN, BBC, Al-Jazeera, MSN, etc.) to be our brain!  Until next time…

I have been working hard over the past couple of weeks to create and finish the second jewelry collection, “Refreshing Earth”. The collection focuses on the power of Earth and colors of blue and green.  It speaks to the need to periodically reset oneself with energies possessed by Earth.  Subsequently, a Reiki application of healing energy is infused into each jewelry creation. Take a look for yourself!  Please visit Etsy.com/shop/MarketofE.

On this Rock, I Shall Roll!

Sometimes, I ask myself “did I REALLY sign up for this?”  The answer remains “yes!”  Life is life is life and continues to be life.  Each day brings a new whirlwind adventure.  When one subscribes to live the artiste lifestyle, only a fellow artiste will understand.  When one subscribes to live the spiritually sounds lifestyle, only spiritually active persons will understand.

Over the past twelve months, Spirit/Life/Creation has lead me to several locations to fulfill the mission(s) and purpose(s).  During these treks, I have learned more about self and sociological situations which cause suppression of life.  Life must be lived, according to several factors/determinants.  Observations have revealed that most persons under the dictates of a religious/pseudo-spiritual order are underdeveloped, unhappy and lack knowledge of self.  We are equipped with an innate understanding of good, bad, right, wrong, nice, mean, happy, sad, smart, dumb, functioning properly versus functioning improperly.  Now is the time to simplify and make live organic, once more.  The Industrial Revolution, Sexual Revolution, Onslaught of Misinterpreted Abrahamic Religions (Hebrewism/Judaism, Islam and Christianity), Western Medical System (including Pharmaceutics) have complicated life in a very detrimental way.

The aforementioned imbalances in society are the reasons why I continue to push and create works to assist others on their respective paths in life.  As I continue to settle in my new home of Philadelphia, the solidifying of certain things is the confirmation that I am in the right place.  Furthermore, I am learning that other folks that I know are relocating to Philadelphia, too.  It must be something in the atmosphere.  One wonderful opportunity is that I will be a guest co-host on Internet radio show, ‘Urban Therapy with Sun‘.  The show will broadcast on Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 8:30-10 PM.  The show’s topic will be an analysis of some nuances within the  Black Conscious Community.  www.blogtalkradio.com/sun752

Other updates are as follow:

  • ‘Creation Expenses for The Cells’ is still underway.  The crowdfunding campaign will help with the costs of publishing my 2nd book, The Cells of the Tissue That Should Feel, and organizing an official book release.  Independent artiste work very hard and sacrifice a lot for the integrity of their works/souls.  Come join the few that donated already!  http://www.gofundme.com/9457rw
