Selam!  Jambo!  It is E again!  Needing to make an announcement…The Chronicles of Air, Water and the Source has allowed me to become a semi-finalist for the ‘2012 Best New Author Award’ by the committee of National Black Book Festival (NBBF).  The NBBF will be held from 8-10 June, 2012 in Houston, TX.  I am looking forward to this event and many others.

Seek with expectations

Howdy world!  The last few weeks have been consumed with creating videos, planning book reading events and building my brand.  That brand is connectivity with humanity.  I elect to stand for health & wellness, sociopolitical stability and equity and being an honorable human being.  These things are reflected in my poetry.

Now with the updates:  “True Results”, “Thank you for letting me know” and “In Between” audio samples are posted on Soundcloud.  “True Results” and “In Between” videos are available on YouTube.  Also, you may click on the ‘Performances Captured’  or the link below to check out pictures and videos.

NYC…..I came, I did and I left

The beginning of February has been busy for E.  I returned to NYC to shoot a short film and give my first reading for ‘The Chronicles’.  It was an exciting weekend!  See, E got skills.  E got talent!

The event was called, ‘The Chronicles–Live’.  It was held at Crystal House in Brooklyn, NY.  The event was attended by an intimate crowd, set by dimmed lights, candles and a minimally decorated performance area.  The attendees were served refreshments, heart-wrenching poetry and provided the opportunity to delve more into the poems in the ‘Q&A’ segment.

Posing with my book, 'The Chronicles of Air, Water and the Source'

The night ended with attendees reading poems from The Chronicles through random selection.  To celebrate, I shifted from Poet o’ the Hour to DJ.   We had a festive Soca & Afro-House party!  I danced and sweated and jumped and waved and misbehaved! Haha

For more pictures and video of ‘The Chronicles–Live’, please go to the Performances Captured tab.  Special thanks to Crystal House (Brooklyn), DJ Asere, Rebekah Frimpong (photographer), Food for Health Market and all attendees.  Stay tuned because I have more announcements and updates to share.  Ciao
